Artist Statement
I think about ‘blindness’ in my work.
Blindness’ could mean someone who does not acknowledge or give regard to the presence of visual information, the importance of knowledge, diversity in race, religion, sexuality, cultures and in the functions of a society.

My question is how have our visual eye aid us to see the world, how has our education informed us about choices, how media and social information shape us in our thinking, beliefs and understanding of the world? In what ways can it, has it and could it blind or handicap us?
I experiment in all sorts of medium in order to find the right fit: Performance art, sculpture, drawings, photography, installation and sometimes multi-media art.  Common themes about blindness in my work are transformation, body, space, movement, memory, history, identity, gender &the function of society.
